Plainfield Volunteer Firefighters Association

The Plainfield Volunteer Firefighters Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated to support the firefighters and EMTs in the town of Plainfield, Massachusetts. The association receives voluntary contributors from local residents and property owners, as well as soliciting grants from charitable foundations. The funds are used to provide equipment, training, and other vital support to the Plainfield Fire-EMS Department and emergency responders. Membership is open to active members of Plainfield Fire-EMS.

Plainfield Fire-EMS Department

The Town of Plainfield operates a Fire-EMS Department under the leadership of Fire Chief Dennis Thatcher. In addition to the support provided by PVFA, Plainfield Fire-EMS receives funding under the town budget and secures grants from various federal and state agencies.
